Head down Hindley St in the daytime and the Dog and Duck appears to be just an ordinary pub. If you've made the trek down Hindley St on a busy night, you'll know the D&D is far from that description. A bustling line suddenly emerges from the bright red doorway stretching down yonder. Admittedly the 'faster moving' VIP line has never really lived up to its name when attempting entry into the venue.

This not-so-well-know little pub on Hindley used to be a quite place to grab a few brews after uni or relax out on a weeke...Scrap that. The Dog and Duck has become a place-to-be on a weekend out on the town. Young fashionistas hit the dance floor here consistently and it's a safe bet that the ratio will be in your favour most weekends fellas. The music has improved as well with DJs sporting some great electro/pop beats Friday and Saturday nights.

If you're into 'people watching' then you are going to want to check out the Mez Bar. This little semi circle mezzanine area is perched above the dance floor, so you can grab a great view of the rowdy revellers beneath you. You're going to want to grab one of the many tasty cocktails on offer here, as they really are worthy of praise compared to some of the other efforts in Adelaide.

If you're in the area, the Dog and Duck still sports the relaxed vibe throughout the day, grab a pint with a mate and sit at the bar which opens onto the sunlit street. If you head here for a more vigorous session, pay your $10 entry fee to the door staff and get down to business. You really will have a good time here, once you get past the line...
