There's no better way to relax and enjoy the sweeping views of South Australia's most popular beach than to take a seat on the Surf Club's balcony!
Some would say it's Adelaide's best kept secret but the growing stream of regulars cannot fault this modern, family friendly bar and bistro. Never losing the surf club vibe, it's not uncommon to see a full restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights as club members and the general public enjoy the beautiful sunsets or rolling storms throughout summer and winter.
Leading into the cooler months, the GSLSC plays host to a regular Thursday evening Spice Night, with a range of delectable curries available together with the new winter season a la carte menu. The GSLSC offers their take on the classic Parmy and schnitzel, fish and chips, fisherman's basket and steak choices though also on offer are specialist aged steak fillets, twice cooked duck and impressive American-style ribs. The chefs can also cater for vegetarians and the children will enjoy a complimentary drink and ice-cream sundae with their kid's meal.
With surf DVDs streaming through the plasmas and soothing, acoustic tunes by the likes of Xavier Rudd, The Beautiful Girls and Ash Grunwald playing throughout the venue, it's a great idea come down with friends and family, kick back, relax and embrace the beachside atmosphere of Glenelg Surf Lifesaving Club.
