There's no question that HQ is one of the biggest nights out in Adelaide. The venue boasts a huge capacity and an enormous sunken dance floor where tightly-packed bodies sweat it out until the wee hours. If dancing ain't your thing, there are plenty of good spots to sit or stand with a nice view of the stage and floor. The mezzanine construction and sheer size of HQ spells it out: "I am a night club." So there should be no confusion when you set foot in here.

Beware though, because even with such a huge capacity you shouldn't be shocked by a long entry queue that can stretch along the footpath and wind all the way around the corner and up the side alley. While this isn't always the case, you can safely expect it to occur, especially when the weather is right and there is a well-publicised event on. Once you get inside (after up to a 1-hour wait), you'll be rewarded with well priced drinks and a number of different bars and rooms to explore. Be prepared to do plenty of push and shove to make your way through the tightly packed crowd.

If crowds are not what you're after, then HQ isn't for you. But if dressing up, hitting the dance floor, and rubbing up against sweaty bodies ticks your box, head straight to HQ for a wild night out.
